The Ultimate Guide to Submitting a Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) for Sindo Ferry Passengers

24 Mar 2023 - Posted By Sindo Ferry

If you're planning to visit Singapore via Sindo Ferry, one of the mandatory requirements you need to fulfill before your arrival is to submit a Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC). It is essential to ensure a smooth immigration process and that travelers meet Singapore's entry requirements. Don't worry if you're unfamiliar with the SGAC process - this guide will walk you through every step, from filling out the form to submitting it electronically. By the end of this article, you'll be well-equipped to complete your SGAC quickly and easily and focus on enjoying your travels.

What is an SGAC?

The Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) is a digital form that collects important information about passengers entering Singapore. It is not a visa, and visitors are still required to meet the entry requirements. The SGAC is mandatory for all foreign nationals, including Singaporeans, Singapore PR, long-term pass holders, student pass holders, employment pass holders, and work permit holders.

Step 1: Know Your Travel Details

Before you start filling out your SGAC, make sure you have your travel details on hand. You will need to provide information such as your flight number, date of arrival, and your port of embarkation, which in this case, is Sindo Ferry. Having this information ready will make the process much smoother.

Step 2: Access the SGAC Form

There are two ways to access the SGAC form: online or through the SG Arrival Card mobile app. For Sindo Ferry passengers, we recommend using the online form as it's more convenient. You can access the form on the ICA website at or via the SafeTravel website. You can also download the MyICA Mobile app from the Play Store or App Store. You'll need to create an account if you don't have one already.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

  1. Launch the MyICA mobile app and tap on "Foreign Visitor - SGAC".
  2. Choose whether you want to submit an individual or group application.
  3. Tap the "+" button at the bottom right-hand corner, and select "New Individual" or "New Group Submission".
  4. Tap "Add Profile".
  5. Fill in the required fields for the passenger's name (as it appears on their passport), gender, date of birth, country/place of birth, nationality/citizenship, passport number, and date of passport expiry. Tap "Next".
  6. Provide the passenger's place of residence, mobile number (including the country and region code), and email address. Tap "Save".
  7. Select the newly created profile (e.g. "David").
  8. Enter the date of arrival and departure from Singapore. Tap "Next".
  9. Choose the mode of travel, which in this case is "Sea".
  10. Select the type of vessel, which is "Ferry".
  11. Enter "Sindo Ferry" as the vessel name. Tap "Next".
  12. Enter the address in Singapore where you'll be staying. You can choose from "Hotel", "Residential", or "Others".  If you choose "Hotel", select the hotel name from the list provided. If you choose "Residential", provide the postal code, block number, street name, building name, and unit number. If you choose "Others", select "Day Trip" or "Transit".
  13. On the next page, provide the last city/port of embarkation before Singapore (e.g. Batam, Tanjung Pinang, Tanjung Balai), as well as the next city/port of disembarkation after Singapore. If you are not continuing your journey after Singapore, leave this field blank.
  14. Answer the questions with a simple "Yes" or "No". Tap "Next".
  15. Review your trip information and tap "Next" if everything is correct.
  16. On the final page, tick the box to confirm that you have read and agreed to the declaration, and tap "Submit".

Step 4: Submit Your SGAC Form

After you've filled out the SGAC form, you can submit it electronically. Make sure you submit it at least three days before your arrival date to ensure that it's processed on time. If your travel plans or health status change after submission, please submit a new SGAC. If you're traveling with family members, you can submit their forms together with yours. Once your SGAC has been processed, you'll receive an acknowledgment email with a QR code.

Step 5: Present Your SGAC on Arrival

When you arrive in Singapore, you'll need to present your SGAC along with your passport and any other required documents. Make sure you have the QR code ready on your mobile device or printed out to show to the immigration officer. The officer will scan your QR code and verify your information before granting you entry.
