Dear Valued Passengers,

The authorities in Batam recently implemented new Covid-19 curbs which will effectively reduce the number of ferry operators that can operate between Singapore and Batam. 

With effect from 11 January 2022, all ferry passengers arriving in Batam from Singapore are to disembark only at Harbourbay Ferry Terminal.  Batam Centre International Ferry Terminal is no longer permitted to receive passengers from Singapore.

Please note that this new rule applies only to ferries arriving in Batam from Singapore.  Our ferry service from Batam to Singapore (eg, Batam Centre to Tanah Merah) is NOT AFFECTED by this new rule.

Sindo Ferry has approached the Management of Harbourbay Ferry Terminal for access to the terminal. We have yet to receive a response.  Meanwhile, we remain committed to you, our Valued Passenger.

All our affected passengers will be transferred to Horizon Fast Ferry, which is the sole ferry operator based in Harbourbay Terminal.  In order to meet the revised price set by Horizon Ferry, we will have to adjust our Singapore-Batam ferry ticket price as follows:

New ferry ticket price for trips from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Harbourbay Terminal (from 19 January 2022 onwards)

Note:

  *The above ticket prices include the cost of the ferry trip plus surcharge, terminal fees and transfer fee (if applicable).

  *Sindo Ferry reserves the right to revise our ferry ticket prices without giving any prior notice.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of these changes imposed by the Batam authorities. We seek your kind understanding during this difficult time.
