Visa Information

It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure they hold a valid passport, pre-departure testings (if applicable), travel insurance with covid-19 add on (if applicable) and travelling documents (visas etc.) and comply with the entry, exit, transit or other requirements of the countries they are travelling to.

Passengers may be refused entry into a country if they do not possess the required travel documents. Sindo Ferry will not be liable in any way for any consequences arising out of your not having the required or valid travel documents.

TO INDONESIA

Passport

Your passport or travelling document must be valid at least six (6) months after the date of entry.

Visa

Countries/Passports that DO NOT REQUIRE VISA for short visit.

If you are holding a passport issued by one of the following countries, visa is not required:

Important Notice: You are only allowed to stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days without visa and for leisure purpose only. If you are going to Indonesia for business purpose, you are advised to apply for a business visa.

VISA ON ARRIVAL (VOA)

RIAU ISLANDS 7-DAY VISA ON ARRIVAL POLICY

A new 7-day Visa on Arrival is now available for visitors to the Riau Island at Rp250,000. This visa is only available for purchase offline.
This visa is only valid for stay of maximum 7 days and is non extendable.

The Visa fee is Rp500,000.00 for up to 30 days stay in Indonesia. Please make sure you have the following documents ready before applying for VOA:

Passport with a minimum of 6 months' validity and contains at least one unused visa page for visa-on-arrival sticker
Fill in the Arrival/Departure card
Return or outward journey ticket
Prepare the exact amount in Rupiah for payment of VOA fees to ensure a smooth application process

TO SINGAPORE

If you are holding an Indonesian Passport and are visiting for social reason, visa is not required.

However, you are required to go through immigration clearance upon arrival into Singapore and must satisfy the following basic requirements:

A passport with at least 6 months validity
Sufficient funds to last for the intended period of stay in Singapore
Confirmed outward/return tickets
Entry facilities to their onward destinations e.g. Visas
Submit SG Arrival Card with electronic health declaration within 72 hours before departure.

VISA EXEMPTION FOR SINGAPORE PERMANENT RESIDENTS

Singapore Permanent Residents (Blue IC holders) from countries eligible for Visa on Arrival (VOA) are now exempt from obtaining a VOA when visiting Batam, Bintan, and Balai Karimun, Indonesia. This exemption allows eligible travelers to stay for up to 4 days, counted from the day of entry.

Conditions:

The exemption applies only to the cities of Batam, Bintan, and Balai Karimun.
The 4-day stay is non-extendable. For stays longer than 4 days, a VOA must be obtained upon arrival.
The exemption is valid only for Singapore Permanent Residents from countries eligible for Visa on Arrival. Singapore PR holders from non-VOA eligible countries are not eligible for this exemption.
MANDATORY: A physical Singapore Blue IC is required to be presented to the immigration authorities upon entry.

This exemption is in accordance with the Ministerial Decree M.HH-1.GR.01.07 and Presidential Regulation No. 95 of 2024 concerning Free Visit Visa regulations. For further information, travelers are advised to consult the Indonesian Embassy.
